Learning is easier in company
We're building a program of free community sessions across the Bay Area — places to meet people who understand, and to leave with something you can actually use.
Where things stand
No dates are set yet
The sessions below are what we intend to run, not a calendar you can book. Nothing is scheduled at the moment, and we’d rather say so than leave a stale listing up.
We’re working on venues, facilitators and dates now. If you’d like to hear the moment something opens, leave your email — we’ll only use it to tell you about sessions, and you can unsubscribe in one click.

What we’re planning
The sessions we want to bring to the Bay Area
Every one of these is free, open to anyone, and designed to be useful whether you come once or come to all of them.
Understanding your own mental health
Anyone, no background needed
A plain-language introduction to how mental health actually works day to day — what's common, what's treatable, and what the words used about it really mean.
Supporting someone you love
Family members, partners and friends
What helps and what doesn't when someone close to you is struggling — how to start the conversation, and how to look after yourself while you do it.
Grief and the difficult seasons
Anyone carrying a loss
A gentle session on grief that doesn't follow a schedule, built around the anniversaries and holidays that tend to make it heavier.
For practitioners and volunteers
People supporting others professionally
Practical continuing education for those already doing this work — and for volunteers who want to be useful without overstepping.
Is there something missing from this list that you’d come to? Tell us — we’re shaping the program now, and what people ask for carries real weight.
In the meantime
Other ways to get something out of today
Read a guide
Our written guides cover much of the same ground — grief, low mood through the winter, and what recovery really looks like.
